In February, M3AAWG announced a new approach to bring in industry experts to support the organization’s initiatives in the fight against online abuse. Members had the opportunity to engage with those experts during the 58th General Meeting in Dublin, June 5-8, 2023. We had an all-star roster, from within the industry and M3AAWG’s Expert Advisor Program, with more than 40 technical, training, and industry update sessions.
A Diverse Team Brings Unique Insights
M3AAWG is greatly appreciative of our Expert Advisors, many of whom were long-standing Senior Advisors, and the leadership they provide to all members. The Expert Advisors provide industry-leading insight, perspectives and content for our members. As M3AAWG formulates best practices and public policy comments by framing initiatives, committees, or special interest groups (SIG), Committee/SIG Chairs and Initiative Champions seek out those with mastered proficiencies to support contributors in the best interests of the industry–and the mission of M3AAWG. Expert Advisors are there to fill that gap.
This is accomplished by providing guidance through training sessions, contributing to technical reviews, participating in meeting sessions, diving into work items directly, and a plethora of other knowledge-sharing opportunities.
