Home M3AAWG Blog M3AAWG5: Ending Industry Fragmentation as the Linchpin of Updated Mobile Strategy and Combating Abuse Overall
Posted by the M3AAWG Content Manager

In the world of online abuse, bad actors benefit from a fragmented system of legitimate suppliers and vendors in the mobile space and beyond.

With M3AAWG’s updated mobile strategy announced earlier this year, the underlying goal is stronger collaboration among anti-abuse allies to break that fragmentation and stand strong as the mobile abuse landscape grows in sophistication and impact.

A new M3AAWG5 video in our ongoing series debuts today with Co-Chairs of M3AAWG’s Mobile Committee, Alberto Pastor Nieto and Tanya Plaza. The pair further explores the value of that unique knowledge exchange and our updated mobile strategy.

"M3AAWG is the forum for the industry to develop best practices, enable knowledge sharing, foster collaboration, standardize solutions, and educate policymakers,” Alberto said.

When it comes to ensuring that senders also contribute to keeping the industry safe, Tanya did not mince words about the importance of breaking silos and promoting the free exchange of ideas among competitors in the marketplace.

"By coming together and sharing our successes, challenges, and lessons learned, we’re empowering peers with insights and approaches diverse enough to tackle common issues and mitigate abuse," Tanya said.
