As we head into the last General Meeting of our 20th anniversary year, we want to take a moment to reflect on the journey that has brought us here. Over the past two decades, our community has grown and evolved, united by a shared commitment to fighting abuse and protecting the integrity of messaging, malware, and mobile security. This milestone is not just a celebration of our accomplishments but also an opportunity to honor the memory of the members who have passed away.
Our organization has been shaped by the commitment, expertise, and passion of our members. We owe much of our success to those who have been with us from the beginning. Unfortunately, some of these remarkable individuals are no longer with us. Their absence is deeply felt through our Community, but their contributions and spirit continue to inspire us to strive towards our mission of a world free of online abuse.
These members were more than just colleagues—they were friends, mentors, and leaders who left a lasting impression on our community and the industry as a whole. They taught us the value of collaboration, the importance of vigilance and proactiveness in the face of ever-evolving threats, and the strength that comes from working together toward a common goal. Their commitment to making the digital world a safer place remains even in their absence.
As we look to the future, we carry with us the lessons and dedication of those we have lost. We remain committed to continuing their work, pushing forward with the same passion and resolve that they brought to M3AAWG. Every step we take toward advancing our mission is a tribute to their memory and the legacy they have left behind.
In memoriam of these members, we also reaffirm our commitment to supporting one another as a community. We stand together, united by our shared mission and the knowledge that we are stronger when we work together. We honor the memories of those we have lost by continuing to fight for a safer, more secure digital environment.
Thank you to all our members, past and present, for your contributions, dedication, and unwavering support. As we celebrate 20 years of M3AAWG, let us also take a moment to remember those who are no longer with us, and let their spirit inspire us to keep moving forward.
The M3AAWG Awards Committee has created a new In Memoriam page. Members are encouraged to provide information on M3AAWG members to be honored on this page.
